Come along to our TOP 6 Margaret River Wine Tasting at the Argyle.

Margaret River is a simply stunning part of the world. Whales breach not far off shore as they venture out of the shelter of Geographe Bay and round the headland to frolic along the 100 kilometres of coastline south, the home of so much high quality viticulture. As it does in Bordeaux, the cool ocean breezes moderate the temperature and ensure steady ripening of those most revered grape varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Actually there are not many varieties that don’t do well in Margaret River. Chardonnay is another shining light and the most consistent Australian Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blends also come from Margaret River. More recently there are plenty of Margaret River producers making a statement with very elegant Shiraz, are there are a few encouraging examples of the Spanish variety, Tempranillo, too.

Join us in March to taste the classy wines of our favourite TOP 6 Margaret River wineries. There’ll be some highly regarded Reserve wines to taste and of course these will be alongside the bargain wines as well. Personally I think the Cabernet and the Chardonnay coming from Margaret River can’t be beaten in Australia. Make sure you reserve the date and book in as soon as you can so that you can taste these wines for yourselves from these TOP 6 Margaret River producers:
